A Tribute to Our Founder's Vision and Values
Brian set up Marsons in 1986 which grew to be the largest sole equity partner firm in the south of England employing more than 220 legal staff.
Marsons Solicitors has won many prominent industry awards including Kent Company of the Year 1998, Silver in Best Use of Training andSilver for Law Firm of the Year at the Lawyer Awards 1999 and winner of the National Training Award 1996. The Firm was one of the first law firms to achieve ISO 9001 and Investors in People.
Brian did not come from a privileged background and in fact initially worked on the buses in South London. He went to evening classes and qualified as a FILEX and then went on to eventually qualify as a solicitor. From humble beginnings, Brian became a hugely successful self made man.He had vision and ambition and under his leadership, the Firm learnt to punch above its weight to win contracts with major lenders and other institutions to provide conveyancing, re-mortgage and repossession litigation services. He was a pioneer in the use of technology which brought undoubted benefits to the Firm’s clients. He inspired commitment and loyalty in everyone who worked for him. We were and are the best solicitors in town due to his vision, leadership and strength of character which still influences the Firm today.
Brian retired in 2001 and moved to Spain but, in typical fashion, soon un-retired himself and set up a new firm, LegalAnswers, to handle property transaction for Britons wanting to buy abroad. He is survived by his wife Sue and children Ben and Hannah. Remembered with pride and sadly missed. The Partners and Staff of Marsons Solicitors.
